As a school district we are always looking for new ways to communicate effectively in order to develop and deepen our relationships with our students, parents, staff and community. As a district we strive to inform, listen to, and engage the community we serve in order to celebrate, support, and share the mission of our district. Facebook is just one more tool we will utilize to make this happen.

School District Bullying Report Form
11/18/2015 11:10:18 AM
On April 9, 2014 Governor Dayton signed the Safe and Supportive Schools Act. This act required Minnesota school districts to implement a Bullying Policy beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. Our district had had a bullying policy in place for a number of years and the new legislation provided an opportunity for review and refinement. Please click above for more information or to download the district's Bullying Report Form.

Text Messaging Service Now Available to Parents
9/28/2015 9:56:31 AM
Hastings Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of a new service that will enhance communication by allowing the district to deliver important information to parents via SMS text messaging.

This service is not intended to replace existing means of communication, rather it will enhance them. The district will only use the service to provide information that is timely and relevant.

In order to participate in the new service, you must have a cell phone on file with the School District, and then parents must indicate willingness to receive text messages to their phones. The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.

Please click above for more information on how to opt into this new service.
